At Provefrut, we believe that sustainable development is possible when we create a positive impact in the communities around our operations. For this reason, since 2017, we have promoted the “Juntos por la Vida” (Together for Life) program. This social initiative focuses on reducing child malnutrition and strengthening family well-being in the rural communities of Guangaje and Guaytacama. These areas have historically faced poverty and limited access to health and nutrition services.

ACTIONS CARRIED OUT DURING THE LAST YEAR

During the last year, our team implemented a structured support plan for children and their families. The main actions included:

• We provided monthly nutritional supplements, including broccoli patties, plant-based protein powder, and fortified foods.

• We organized comprehensive medical campaigns with pediatric care, gynecological care, and vaccination services.

• We monitored children’s growth through regular measurements of weight, height, and nutritional status.

• We conducted workshops for mothers on preventive health, breastfeeding, early childhood stimulation, and nutritious food preparation.

• We organized community events and educational fairs to strengthen social connections and encourage the participation of parents, caregivers, and local leaders.

PROGRAM IMPACT AND SUSTAINABILITY

This program has improved children’s health and nutrition conditions. It has also strengthened community trust, shared responsibility, and collaboration among companies, families, and partners.

Nichirei Foods Inc. supports our Juntos por la Vida program in Guaytacama. Through this valuable partnership, the company helps improve nutrition and well-being for more families.

In addition, our internal Sponsorship Program has strengthened the spirit of solidarity among our employees and international clients, such as Endico. Their voluntary monthly donations help cover specific needs for children and contribute to the long-term sustainability of the program.
